Rob is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer with 22 years’ experience in the global rail sector, specialising in rolling stock transactions, asset management, and manufacture.
Prior to joining IPEX, Rob spent the first decade of his career in train operations and maintenance, including managing a large train maintenance depot for a UK TOC. He then spent 5 years in train manufacturing, setting up and leading the test department at Hitachi’s new UK train manufacturing facility.
During his time at IPEX, Rob has supported many major international rail projects, including new train procurements and rail business transactions. He has also applied his depot management experience to multiple depot modelling assignments.
Out of office: Rob enjoys spending quality time with his family and is a keen runner and chess player.
